ASF Awarded an Emergency Relief Project by Concern Worldwide (USAID / OFDA) for Post-Flood Agriculture Revival through Distribution of Wheat Seeds & Agricultural Tools to Flood-Affected Farmers of District Muzaffargarh, Punjab
Concern Worldwide- Pakistan has recently awarded a project of Rs. 25.470 million to ASF for emergency provision of Wheat Seeds and Agricultural Tools to flood-affected farmers of district Muzaffargarh, Punjab. The project entitled “Livelihood Initiative for Flood-affectees’ Empowerment (LIFE)” will be implemented from 28th October, 2010 to 27th January, 2011 in collaboration with Mojaz Foundation in Union Council Baseera and Union Council Mehmood Kot of District Muzaffargarh. Under the project, 9000 bags (50-kg bag each) of Wheat Seeds and 9000 sets of Agricultural Hand Tools are being distributed to 9000 farmer households in the flood-affected area. The project has been funded under Responding to Pakistan’s Internally Displaced (RAPID) Fund of Concern Worldwide established under an umbrella grant from USAID and Office of the U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA).
